HAPPY TAILS OFFICE HOURS
Happy Tails is a cage-free resort, and adherence to our drop-off and pick-up times to keep the experience as stress-free as possible for all our guests and residents. After a full day of exercise and play, and a good dinner, everyone is ready to settle in with their new best fur friends. If they are disturbed after hours they become like children, instantly thinking they are going home. This kind of disappointment can be very upsetting for them and other dogs, and the people who live at the resort. Quiet, undisturbed evenings are crucial for a good night’s sleep for every one.
Drop-off/Check-in times: 7 to 8:15 AM, and 12 to 12:45 PM. * Note: those who need to drop off between 6:15 to 7 AM must have prior permission and instructions.
Overnight pick-up times: Monday to Saturday 7 to 8:15 AM and 12 to 12:45 PM, Sunday by appointment 12 to 12:45 PM
If you would like to pick up your dog between 4 to 6 PM a play-day rate is incurred.
We do not accept overnight Guests after 1 PM because it’s difficult to acclimate the arriving dog with other resort guests and the staff.
Play-day pick-up times: Monday to Saturday 4 to 5:45 PM
This is a strict pick-up time as Daycare Dogs are moved closer to the office so Resort Guests are not disturbed and made anxious by the sound of other dogs going home.
Sundays and Statutory Holidays: Our office is closed on Sundays, and we have limited drop off and pick up times of 12 to 12:45 PM. Prior booking is necessary. Reduced hours on Holidays allow for our hardworking and deserving staff to enjoy time with their families and furkids.
Massaging Spa Bath for Pick Up Day: Our guests swim, frog hunt, and have fun adventures with other dogs. A strong ‘fragrance of dog’ may be noticeable, especially if you are used to a more pleasant salon smell. It’s recommended that you schedule your dog for a relaxing Massaging Spa Bath before pickup, so they return home smelling fresh. If your dog is having a bath they have to be collected after 12 PM.
Grooming: Dogs who are booked in for grooming must be dropped off either between 7 to 8.30 AM and collected between collected between 4 to 6 PM. They are able to have a bit of a play and spa day as we need to work them into our regular days and sometimes it’s better for them to have some time to play.
Our Resort Guests come first and we think you want it that way. We don’t want our doggie guests to hear vehicles coming and going outside of our public hours. Understandably, vehicles arriving when we are closed is a disruptive occurrence. Dogs nearby hear, and bark, and other dogs race to the entry points which sparks tension, when they should be enjoying the activities and wide open spaces of our dog parks. For this same reason, strangers and non-trained persons are not allowed in the dog guest areas.
*Our insurance requires that all pets are leashed when arriving and departing in public areas.
LATE ARRIVALS: We are looking at offering this during the peak summer season for a minimal charge of $60. We would need it to be booked in advance to employ a staff member to meet them at a set time and personally settle the dog into the resort when it arrives outside the regular check in times. *Late arrivals are very difficult during the winter months due to less hours of light. Dogs need to be acclimatized during daylight hours so they may become familiar with the resort and all of its opportunities.
